CiRBA service soups up servers
Power consumption
If you can’t accurately measure power consumption, you can’t manage it
Software vendor CiRBA has fine tuned the machinery of the data centre with a new analytics engine that lower power consumption and pushes up the speed of Intel based processors.
The data centre intelligence software developer has been working with Intel to integrate Intel’s Data Center Manager (http://software.intel.com/sites/datacentermanager/) with CiRBA’s own platform. Intel DCM is a power and thermal monitoring and management solution for servers, racks and equipment such as power distribution units (PDUs).
Power consumption data can now be collected by CiRBA to be included in its virtualisation and cloud efficiency analytics. As a result, companies will be able to make dramatic efficiencies, argues CiRBA.
“If you can’t accurately measure power consumption, you can’t manage it,” said Chuck Tatham, SVP operations & business development, CiRBA.
