Providing Experian with reliable support for its wide-ranging, complex Subversion requirements

Experian, the global information services provider has switched provider for round-the-clock support and quick access to Apache Subversion solutions.

It’s reported to have made the change after becoming frustrated with the previous support vendor’s overall lack of responsiveness and inability to assist with a recent Subversion upgrade.

Since moving to WANdisco, Experian’s support tickets have been responded to immediately and the services provider is able to access Subversion support professionals during normal business hours in North America, Europe and Asia.  This wasn’t possible with its previous vendor’s support team, which was largely based in India.

As a heavy user of open source applications, Experian is keen to draw on WANdisco’s ability to provide assistance with applications such as Trac, the widely used open source defect tracker that integrates natively with Subversion.  When Experian asked its previous support vendor for help with Trac it was told that they only provided support for Subversion.  The vendor then proceeded to try to sell them a proprietary defect tracker to use in its place.

David Richards, CEO and President of WANdisco, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been able to provide Experian with genuinely reliable support for its wide-ranging and often complex Subversion requirements. While some other vendors struggle to deliver the serious professional Subversion support organisations demand, WANdisco has highly experienced, helpful staff based in the US and the UK to cover a multitude of time zones effectively and efficiently.”
