Formerly, only part of the SAS Group was accredited with ISO 9001 but the latest award includes all of the companies within the SAS Group. ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised quality standard and the accreditation of the SAS Group’s management system demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering a world-class portfolio of managed services.
 
ISO 9001 is the world’s best-known quality framework and, according to the British Standards Institute, is currently used by nearly 900,000 organisations in 170 countries worldwide. ISO 9001 certification is designed to give quality assurance for all customer related processes, including systems administration, project management, project implementation, service desk and support functions.
 
 “As more firms think about outsourcing the management of their network and communications infrastructure to improve service levels and reduce costs, ISO 9001 accreditation can really help to allay the quality concerns that IT decision makers often voice about the process,” said David Biggins, CFO for the SAS Group. “Increasingly, we’re finding that ISO 9001 is becoming a prerequisite for many of our managed services customers and this is probably because it provides such a defensible benchmark for evaluating service quality and customer satisfaction.”
 
The full scope of activities covered by the SAS Group’s certification for ISO 9001 includes the company’s infrastructure design and managed communications services. The award is registered to the SAS Group’s Horsham based operation, near London in the South East, which provides managed network services to customers worldwide.
